Delivery

I led a business intelligence transformation by delivering an analytics dashboard solution that reduced reporting time from hours to minutes while strengthening executive visibility and operational efficiency.

Project Overview

Engaged to lead the implementation of a business intelligence solution for a rapidly growing technology company, I stepped into an environment characterized by fragmented data, disconnected systems, labor-intensive reporting, and limited executive visibility into business performance.

My priority was to assess organizational needs, identify and recommend the right technology, establish a structured implementation approach, and coordinate the technical and cross-functional resources necessary to improve reporting efficiency, strengthen executive decision-making, and support sustainable growth.

The Business Challenge

Growth Had Outpaced the Infrastructure

A rapidly expanding company relied on disconnected systems, spreadsheets, and labor-intensive reporting processes. Leadership lacked timely, consolidated visibility into business performance.

The challenge: The inherited environment — department-specific systems, manual reporting, missing data, inconsistent file organization, and limited accessibility.

The Discovery

The Problem Was Bigger Than the Dashboard

My assessment revealed that implementing reporting software alone would not solve the underlying problem. The organization also needed reliable data, clearer information ownership, sufficient preparation resources, and employee readiness.

The critical insight: Technology could improve visibility only if the business processes and information supporting it were prepared for integration.

Key Decision

Selecting the Right Technology

8 Platforms Evaluated

I assessed usability, integration, cost, scalability, and long-term vendor support.

Microsoft Power BI

Recommended to and approved by executive leadership.

My Strategic Approach

Building the Foundation for Successful Delivery

I established the implementation plan, coordinated business and technical stakeholders, monitored risks and milestones, and maintained weekly executive visibility.

Critical Intervention

Anticipating the Data Preparation Bottleneck

Risk Identified

Fragmented and incomplete data threatened to consume employees' time and delay implementation.

My Response

Planned for additional staffing, then coordinated temporary resources as the full workload became clear.

Result: Protected day-to-day operations, supported implementation progress, and maintained budget control.

Project Lifecycle

From Assessment to Adoption

Change Management

Preparing People for the Transformation

I coordinated employee workshops, ongoing technical support, executive adoption, and workforce planning. As automation reduced manual reporting workloads, the organization began assigning alternative responsibilities to some affected employees.
